Good Research Practice (GRP)

Good research practices are of great importance for early-career researchers to foster rigorous research and tackle issues related to reproducibility. Next semester, the CRS provides two GRP courses:

GRP I will teach you the basics of reproducibility.
November 13, 2020, 9:00-17:00h, Webinar. For course details klick here.

Topics of this course are scientific integrity, exploratory vs. confirmatory research, study design, open science, preregistration and many practical aspects of reproducible research.

GRP II (new) will teach you the difference between reproducibility and replication. September 11, 2020, 9:00-17:00h, HIT E 03, Hirschengraben 82.

Topics of this course are reproducibility and replication in experiments, reporting guidelines, writing analysis plans, computational notebooks, and best practices in small sample research. Participants can earn 1 ECTS if they combine this course with a GRP I course. It is not necessary to attend GRP I before GRP II.

Please feel free to advertise these courses to your early-career staff (on UZH internal).
